My Great Grandparents, Homer Miller and Agnes (Muir) Mason, moved to Idaho around 1906 to 1908. There's some reason to believe that they were divorced before 1910 because the 1910 U.S. Census states that Agnes Mason was shown as Head of Household with no spouse listed, and then Homer Miller Mason was listed in Weiser, Washington County, Idaho.
Another fact is that Agnes (Muir) Mason had remarried in January 1912.
When and Where did Homer Miller Mason died? Can you help me?
Research by Matthew D. Friend
Name: HOMER MASON (of Blackfoot)
Marriage Date: 23 Jan 1897
Marriage Place: Pocatello, Bannock, Idaho, USA
Spouse: AGNES MUIR (of Blackfoot)
Name: HOMER MASON
Marriage Date: 17 Aug 1933

Researcher's Note: In 1888, Homer Mason married Mrs. Mary E. (Leavens) Garland, and it's possilbe this woman is the natural mother of Norma M. Mason, who was born in 1892 in Montana. The resaon this marriage is the right person as his parents matched to other records, especially in 1908-1909 Boise City Directory when Homer lived with his mother, along with his daughter Norm. According to another researcher's record, Mary E. (Leavens) Mason died June 21, 1896, in Hamilton, Montana.

Spouse: Mary E E Garland
Name: AGNES M. MASON

Name: MASON FAMILY
Home in 1900: Fort Grant, Pinal, Arizona Territory
Marriage Year: 1892
Years Married: 8
Mother: number of living children: 1
Mother: How many children: 3
Millen Mason 37 (Oct 1862, IA)
Agnes Mason 35 (Nov 1874, Can)
Norma Mason 7 (Nov 1892, MT)
Researcher's Note: It is unclear why M. H. Mason choose to states he and Agnes were married in 1892, or perhaps it may have been the enumerator basing it on the child's birth year. It is possible. No less, marriage records shows that M. H. Mason was married at least 3 times, and Agnes, twice. In this record M. H. Mason profession remained the same over the years, a blacksmith. Official Register of the United States, Containing a List of the Officers and Employees in the Civil, Military, and Naval Service Together with a List of Vessels Belonging to the United States in July 1, 1899 it shows that M. H. Mason in the same location as this census enumeration was taken. By 1920, Agnes and her son Leo were living in California with her new spouse. (Note: Leon Millen Mason (1901-1985))
Home in 1910: Union, Ada, Idaho, USA

Years Married: 18
Number of Children Born: 4
Number of Children Living: 2
Agnes M Mason 35
Norma M Mason 17
Leo M Mason 8
Home in 1910: Weiser, Washington, Idaho
Relation to Head of House: Head
Marital Status: Single
Employer, Employee or Other: Wage Earner
Millen Mason 48
Researcher's Note: By 1910, the Mason Family picture changes. M. H. Mason is found in Weiser, Idaho, while his second wife is found in Union, Idaho with his eldest dauther and youngest son, Leo. Although, Agnes states she was still married, but M. H. Mason claimed singlehood. It appeared in 19081909 Boise city directory shows M. H. Mason with his daughter Norma, both living with his mother Mary Mason. There was no Agnes Mason an either city directory. So was it possible the the marriage separation happened about 1907 or before. Where was Agnes and their son, Leo? That is, suddenly, in 1910 census in Union.
Millen Homer Mason, son of Leander & Mary M. Mason, born in October 1862 in Iowas. He was married three times, possibly four times. The last marriage in 1933 could be someone else named Homer Mason but no evidence of his death were found in any of the death records, though, a possible death in 1920 in California. So no clear documentations on his death. He had two children: Norma Maude Mason and Leon Millen Mason. Those Norma claimed her mother eas Agnes (Muir) Mason, when her natural mother died when she under the age of 5, and will not have remember her mother, other than, Agnes.
